MD Media Fusion is a media studio led by journalist and TV host Marta Dhanis - creating multimedia content, moderating and presenting high-level conferences and events, including panels at Web Summit featuring NYSE and Brunswick Group, and bringing sharp journalistic insight to global conversations on politics, business, and justice.
Marta is a Portuguese-American published investigative author, trilingual in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, with over two decades in journalism, including nearly 14 years in New York working for Fox News and ABC News. She covered some of the highest-profile justice stories of her generation, such as Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, Harvey Weinstein, Donald Trump, and El Chapo, and brings that same editorial authority to conferences and global forums worldwide.
“Whether it’s a courtroom, a newsroom, or a stage in front of a thousand people, the job is the same: ask the question no one wants to answer, and make sure the audience understands what’s actually at stake - on either side of the Atlantic, wherever the story takes me."

About
I'm the founder of a global media studio based in Portugal, MD Media Fusion, a TV show host, and a U.S.-focused commentator. During my nearly 14 years in New York, I served as a reporter and field producer for major global media networks such as Fox News and ABC News, and was the first U.S. correspondent for TVI/TVI24 (now CNN Portugal). I have also anchored live broadcasts, including special coverage of U.S. presidential elections and inaugurations, and hosted a Portuguese television program featuring in-depth interviews with global leaders across politics, business, and diplomacy. As the first Fox News resident member of the New York federal and state courts press corps covering criminal justice in America, I reported on some of the most high-profile cases - including Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, Donald Trump, 'El Chapo,' Harvey Weinstein - delivering breaking coverage, in-depth analysis, and exclusive reporting.I also made significant contributions to global political journalism, namely at the United Nations and secured pivotal soundbites from world leaders such as former President Joe Biden when he was a presidential candidate, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and UN Secretary General António Guterres, as well as an exclusive sit-down with then-International Monetary Fund Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn.Throughout my career, I have covered everything from the Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations to major natural disasters, terrorism, mass shootings, and other defining moments of modern history. As a moderator and host, I've led discussions for organizations including Web Summit and Johns Hopkins University, connecting policymakers, innovators, and global audiences.I have published an investigative journalism book on a high-profile murder trial that took place in New York, after a two-year-long coverage of the case and an exclusive with the convicted killer.A Communications graduate, my academic journey includes a postgraduate degree in Global Affairs from New York University, crisis reporting training from Columbia University.
On Stage
I bring energy and clarity to high-level conferences and panels worldwide, leading conversations on everything from innovation to justice, sustainability, and more.

An international event hosted by the Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos, where I moderated a live discussion on artificial intelligence with Neil Lawrence, the DeepMind Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge. The conversation explored what makes us unique in the age of AI, from the risks of automation and algorithmic bias to the human values we must protect as technology advances.

At Web Summit, one of the world’s largest technology conferences, I hosted a conversation with leaders from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Brunswick Group about what it takes for companies to go public successfully. We explored the challenges of scaling, navigating market pressures, and communicating with investors in a fast-moving global economy.

SME EnterPRIZE is an event organized by the Generali Group focused on promoting sustainable business practices among small and medium-sized enterprises. I served as the MC and moderated the event, leading discussions on sustainability and corporate responsibility.

As a TV host, I lead programs that bring sharp analysis and engaging conversations to broad audiences. On Economy Without Borders, I interview top entrepreneurs, diplomats - including U.S. Ambassador to Portugal Randi Levine - and key decision-makers on how companies expand globally. In One Home, One Future, I explore Portugal’s public housing challenges through in-depth discussions with the Mayor of Lisbon and leading policy experts.
