Marta Dhanis is a Portuguese-American TV host and journalist fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. With two decades of experience reporting from the U.S. and Europe - including for ABC News and Fox News -, she has covered some of the world’s most defining stories and now also brings that expertise to conferences, podcasts, and media projects worldwide.Her career spans roles as a TV correspondent & anchor, broadcast journalism instructor, and published author. I'm the founder of a global media studio based in Portugal, MD Media Fusion, a TV show host, and a US-focused commentator. During my nearly 14 years in New York, I served as a reporter and field producer for major global media networks such as Fox News and ABC News, delivering news coverage on critical global events. I have also anchored live broadcasts, including special coverage of U.S. presidential elections and inaugurations, and hosted a Portuguese television program featuring in-depth interviews with global leaders across politics, business, and diplomacy.I also bring that same editorial authority and stage presence to content creation, international conferences, and global forums. As a moderator and host, I have led high-level discussions for organizations including Web Summit, John Hopkins University, the think tank FFMS, and other global platforms, connecting thought leaders, policymakers, and innovators with diverse audiences worldwide.As a member of the New York courts’ press corps covering criminal justice in America, I built a reputation for in-depth and incisive reporting. My reporting included high-profile cases and trials involving figures like Donald Trump, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, Harvey Weinstein, and Mexican drug-dealer El Chapo.I also made significant contributions to global political journalism, conducting compelling interviews with leading world figures such as former President Joe Biden at the launch of his presidential campaign, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and United Nations Secretary General António Guterres, as well as an exclusive sit-down with then–International Monetary Fund Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn.As a general assignment journalist, I covered everything from presidential elections and the Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations to natural disasters, mass shootings, and terrorism. These roles honed my storytelling abilities and enhanced my awareness of the media’s power in molding public opinion.I am also a non-fiction author as I published an investigative journalism book on a high-profile murder trial that took place in New York, after a two-year-long coverage of the case and an exclusive with the convicted killer.A Communications graduate, my academic journey includes a postgraduate degree in Global Affairs from New York University, crisis reporting training from Columbia University, and an in-depth study of U.S. political institutions through HarvardX.
